Day 2 – Remarkable Secrets

Deana Maisey

Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.  Jeremiah 33:3 (NLT)

“I’ve got a secret!” – Four words that send our imaginations into a tailspin.  There are few of us who, upon hearing those words, don’t start dreaming up ways to find out what the secret is.  Could it really be as simple as asking what the secret is?  Yes…if the secret bearer is the Creator of the Universe! All we have to do is ask and He will reveal to us great secrets through the person of the Holy Spirit.  Best friends share secrets and He wants to be our Best Friend; the One with whom we share our secrets, the One to whom we run to tell everything.  Even the seemingly mundane things as simple as how our day was…He wants to hear it all.

Prayer is simply communicating with our Best Friend.  Try it!  Sit down, quiet your mind and spirit, imagine Jesus sitting next to you, then simply ask Him a question…ask it out loud if you want, but ask.  Then as the thoughts come into your mind, write them down.

{Lord Jesus, You are an amazing Friend: a Friend who wants to spend time with me.  Would you help me make time to talk with you?  Lord, You said to call to You – to ask You and You would tell me remarkable and wondrous secrets that I haven’t known.  Would you do that?  As I sit here quietly, speak to my heart.  Lord, what do you want to say to me today?  In Your name, amen.}
